EventTale is newly open. Public sample invites use fictional event data. Host accounts, event drafting, RSVP collection, host-uploaded photographs, and multilingual publishing are live today. Paid plans and custom domains are not yet live.
Privacy first
Host identity, event content, RSVP responses, and host-uploaded photographs are collected only to run your event website. The sections below say exactly what, and for how long.
Rights-clean media
Every image and soundtrack needs source, license, attribution, and commercial-use metadata before it ships in a customer-facing invite.
No fake production claims
Custom domains and payments are planned features, not live today. Multilingual publishing and host photo uploads are live.
What we store
For each event we store host identity, event draft/commission content, publish state, invite slug, plan entitlement, and RSVP response fields (guest name, optional email, response, party size, optional note). Hosts may upload their own photographs, stored under a per-event, per-tenant path. We do not process imported guest lists, payment records, or bulk-uploaded media beyond what a host enters directly.
How long we keep it
Event drafts are retained for 90 days by default. Host-uploaded photographs are kept until 30 days after the event's hosting window ends, then the invitation falls back to the world's own sample gallery. See Data Deletion for the full policy and its current manual-enforcement status.
Who processes data on our behalf
We use Google/Firebase (Authentication, Firestore, Cloud Storage) to store accounts, event data, and uploaded photographs; Cloudflare (Workers) to host and serve EventTale, and for outbound email routing; and Google reCAPTCHA Enterprise, via Firebase App Check, to distinguish real visitors from bots. This collects user-interaction signals during sign-in and publishing. See Data Processing for more detail.
Where data is stored, and international transfer
EventTale is used by hosts in India, the United States, Europe, the Middle East, Southeast Asia, and Latin America. Data is hosted on Google Cloud/Firebase and Cloudflare's global infrastructure, which may process or store data outside the country where a host or guest is located.
Guests
If you are a guest, EventTale collects only what you submit when responding to an invitation: your name, an optional email address, your RSVP response, party size, and an optional note. This is visible to the host who sent the invitation. Some invitations play a soundtrack that starts on your first tap or click on the page. To ask a host to remove your RSVP, contact them directly, or write to hello@eventtale.com and we will pass the request along.
